Abatement Specialties specialized in asbestos abatement, inspections, mold remediation, lead based paint remediation, mechanical insulation and installation of fire stopping.
Abatement Specialties LLC provides professional services at competitive rates. Asbestos inspections and removal for asbestos containing materials in renovation and demolition projects as a certified and approved asbestos abatement company. Under Federal EPA and state guidelines, removal and disposal of asbestos must meet strict regulations. Asbestos is prevalent in many buildings constructed or remodeled prior to the mid-1970.
Lead Based Paint is prevalent in homes constructed prior to 1978 and uses many of the same remediation and abatement techniques as asbestos abatement. For these reasons most asbestos abatement companies also remove lead based paint as well as perform mold remediation, although there are very few regulations in place for mold remediation it is becoming an ever increasing problem in many homes and businesses.
Since asbestos is found in older mechanical insulation systems, Abatement Specialties will provide turnkey services to clients that are in need of replacing their asbestos insulation with fiberglass or other forms of insulation.
Fire stopping services will be tied into the insulation service as many hospitals, government, industrial and commercial building that have had or are planning on having renovation projects where new piping, cabling or other building systems are installed. These systems often run through existing fire walls and the walls must be restored to meet current building and fire codes.
Abatement Specialties is a State of Iowa Contractor (Department of Labor) and a certified asbestos contractor and licensed asbestos inspector.
